Lakeland Park Campgrounds

Lake Lavon

Lakeland Park is hidden away on the eastern shores of Lake Lavon. The campgrounds are beautiful and include covered picnic tables and fire pits. According to the Army Corps of Engineers website there is a fee to camp here, but we did not see any attendants taking money when we visited.

This park also has a nice beach area and a great boat ramp.

According to the City of Lavon website:

CAMPING – 32 tent/primitive sites. Day use and camping available on a first come first serve basis – no reservations. Park attendant on duty six days/wk. Controlled access – park closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. One 4-lane boat ramp and restroom with water available. Camping fee includes user fee for boat launching.

Directions:

Located mid-lake on the east shore. From US 380 in Farmersville, take Texas 78 south 4 miles and look for park entrance on west side of road.
