Lakeland Park

Lake Lavon

Lakeland Park is a nice little park on the eastern shores of Lake Lavon. The park is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is open between April 1 and September 30th.

According to the Army Corps of Engineers website there is a fee to camp here, but we did not see any attendants taking money when we visited. This park also has a nice beach area and plenty of covered picnic tables.

Lakeland Park camping

According to the City of Lavon website:

CAMPING – 32 tent/primitive sites. Day use and camping available on a first come first serve basis – no Reservations. Park attendant on duty six days/wk. Controlled access – park closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. One 4-lane boat ramp and restroom with water available. Camping fee includes user fee for boat launching.

Directions:

Located mid-lake on the east shore. From US 380 in Farmersville, take Texas 78 south 4 miles and look for park entrance on west side of road.
